Our client provides end customers with IoT products such as smart home solutions, sophisticated fire alarms, advanced security devices, and more. To expand the target audience and better meet customer needs, the company decided to create a system for monitoring, control, and analysis of the microclimate in the premises of office and residential buildings.
The client needed a qualified tech partner, so they chose the NIX team as a highly-skilled vendor with vast experience developing sophisticated IoT solutions. We had to create a complete, full-fledged climate control system, including a prototype device based on off-the-shelf hardware parts, which would optimize future production.
We developed an indoor climate control system consisting of the following components:
Our first priority was to choose the best board for connecting sensors for measuring and controlling CO2, temperature, humidity, and other environmental parameters on the premises. After analyzing the existing solutions, we selected WEMOS D1 R2, as this board provides an excellent price-performance ratio, particularly the built-in WiFi module.
Based on this board, we developed a prototype of a climate station device, which the user must install in the room and configure in a few simple steps.
To complete the IoT system, we developed a user-friendly web portal for monitoring and managing all devices and analyzing climatic data. This portal is available to all customers who purchased and installed climate control stations.

The client received a full-fledged IoT ecosystem that allowed them to establish the production and sale of climate stations, which users can operate via a user-friendly website. The primary target audience focused on office managers monitoring the indoor microclimate and maintenance staff responsible for fine-tuning the building’s HVAC systems.
With this system, the company not only added another market-demanded product to their portfolio but also offered a solution that meets their customers’ need for a conducive working environment.
